The LCHS Boys JV Basketball team used a big third quarter to defeat Freedom last night by a score of 51-41. After trailing 20-19 at halftime, the Raiders came out and outscored the Eagles 20-8 in the third quarter. Of the 20 points, 18 of them came on three pointers. Freshman Augie Brody hit 3 three pointers in the quarter, sophomore Luke Brenner hit 2 three pointers in the quarter, and sophomore Bryce Bare also made one in the third. For the game, the team made 7 two-point field goals, and 8 three-point field goals.
Brody had a team high 13 points, all of which came in the second half. Brenner scored 9 of his 10 total points in the second half. The Raiders also helped themselves from the free throw line as they went 13-16 for the game, including 12-14 in the fourth quarter.
The Raiders are now 13-1 this season and are back in action tonight when they host Woodgrove.
