The LCHS Boys JV Basketball team snapped their four-game losing streak last night with a 40-33 victory over the Heritage Pride. It didn't look good early for the Raiders, as they didn't score their first points of the game until the final minute of the first quarter when sophomore Tommy Daughtrey made a layup. The Raiders trailed 12-2 after the first quarter, but chipped away and only trailed 21-16 at halftime. The Raiders outscored the Pride 12-6 in both the third and fourth quarters to come away with the win.
The Raiders were led by freshman Augie Brody's 10 points, and Daughtrey also chipped in with 8 points. The team went 10-12 from the free-throw line.
The Raiders are now 15-5 this season, and host Liberty on Monday night in their final home game of the season.
